Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Malappuram. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing journal entries. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasts, and supporting cost analysis and management accounting activities. The role involves handling tax computations, supporting statutory filings, and assisting with audits and compliance checks. The Accountant will also reconcile accounts, monitor cash flows, prepare periodic financial reports for management, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Experience in management accounting, budgeting, costing, and financial analysis to support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and audit support processes, with the ability to work accurately with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including working with spreadsheets, reconciliations, and financial reporting tools.
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to meet deadlines in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in public accounting, consulting, or corporate finance is preferred, especially in audit, tax, or compliance-focused roles.
