Role Description The Academic Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. In this position, the advisor supports learners in planning their academic paths, selecting courses, and understanding program requirements aligned with their career goals. The role involves providing individual and group counseling, monitoring student progress, and identifying learners who may need additional academic or personal support. The advisor collaborates with faculty and industry mentors to connect students with relevant internships, projects, and career opportunities. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, conducting advising sessions, organizing workshops and information sessions, and contributing to initiatives that enhance learner success and well-being.
Qualifications
  • Strong student support skills, including Student Counseling and Academic Advising, with a focus on learner success and well-being.
  • Excellent Communication abilities, including active listening, clear written communication, and confident interpersonal interactions.
  • Career development expertise, including Career Counseling and guidance on industry pathways in tech and business.
  • Background in Education or related fields, with familiarity with academic policies, curriculum design, or higher education environments.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to build trust with diverse learners, manage multiple advising cases, and work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with comfort using digital tools and student information systems.
  • Prior experience in academic advising, student affairs, counseling, or career services in a college or professional school setting is preferred.
