AI ML Consultant - 8 to 10 hrs

Role Description The AI ML Consultant will work on a contract basis for approximately 8 to 10 hours, supporting the design, development, and optimization of AI and machine learning solutions for smart agriculture and digital transformation projects. This hybrid role is based in Pune City, with flexibility for some work-from-home tasks depending on project requirements. Daily responsibilities include analyzing data, building and evaluating ML models, applying pattern recognition techniques, and developing NLP-based solutions where relevant. The consultant will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand business needs, provide expert guidance on AI strategy and implementation, and translate technical insights into practical, actionable recommendations. The role also involves documenting approaches, presenting findings, and advising on best practices for scalable, maintainable AI systems.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Machine Learning and Data Science, including model development, evaluation, and deployment.
• Experience with Pattern Recognition techniques for real-world data and operational use cases.
• Proficiency in Natural Language Processing (NLP) for building and improving text-based or conversational AI solutions.
• Consulting skills, including stakeholder communication, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Python or similar languages and common ML/NLP frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy).
• Familiarity with data pipelines, cloud platforms, and MLOps practices to support scalable AI implementations.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage limited hours effectively, and deliver clear, well-structured documentation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in agriculture, IoT, or digital transformation domains is preferred but not required.
