Role Description The Assistant Manager – Finance will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations of the resort in a full-time, on-site role based in Ottappalam. This includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate ledgers, preparing monthly financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The role involves monitoring cash flow, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and ensuring timely vendor and payroll payments. The Assistant Manager – Finance will support compliance with statutory requirements, coordinate with auditors, and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets. The position also includes analyzing financial performance, preparing management reports, and collaborating with operations and management teams to optimize costs and support strategic decisions.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong accounting and financial management skills, including ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support operational and strategic planning.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and audit processes relevant to hospitality or service industries.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity with accounting software, spreadsheets, and basic financial analytics tools.
  • Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with management, operations, and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, resorts, or similar service-based businesses is preferred.
