Assistant Maths Teacher

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Maths Teacher role based in Rajahmundry. The Assistant Maths Teacher will support lead teachers in delivering engaging mathematics lessons, reinforcing key concepts, and assisting with classroom management. Daily responsibilities include helping with lesson preparation, providing individual or small-group support to students, and assisting in evaluating student work. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, supporting examination preparation, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum implementation, and participating in school events, meetings, and professional development activities. The Assistant Maths Teacher is expected to contribute to a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment that aligns with the school’s vision and mission.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mathematics and, preferably, formal training in Mathematics Education.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and contribution to Curriculum Development for school-level mathematics.
• Status as a Qualified Teacher (B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification in Mathematics or a related field).
• Effective classroom communication skills, with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and patiently to diverse learners.
• Prior experience as a mathematics teacher or teaching assistant in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with teaching staff, follow school policies, and maintain a safe, respectful classroom environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and openness to using innovative and activity-based teaching methods.
