Role Description The Assistant role at Matthew Dimond Design is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat. The Assistant will support daily studio operations, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling basic administrative tasks such as emails, phone calls, and document organization. This role will assist with project coordination by tracking deadlines, preparing simple reports or summaries, and helping ensure that design work and client deliverables move smoothly through each stage. The Assistant may help prepare presentations, organize project files, and liaise with vendors or clients under guidance from senior team members. The position involves close collaboration with the design team, maintaining an organized workspace, and being ready to take on varied tasks as needed to keep projects on track.
Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, professional communication skills in English (written and verbal), with confidence in interacting with team members, clients, and vendors.
  • Comfort with basic office software and digital tools (e.g., email, calendars, spreadsheets, and file management); familiarity with design environments is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented approach to administrative work, including maintaining records, reviewing documents, and following up on pending tasks.
  • Proactive, reliable, and collaborative mindset, with a willingness to learn and support colleagues across different functions.
  • Prior experience in an administrative, coordination, or assistant role is preferred but not mandatory; relevant internships are also valued.
  • Educational background in business, administration, design, or a related field is an advantage, but equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
