Role Objective 


To deliver high-quality teaching in Communication and Business Communication while fostering students' critical thinking, professional communication, and workplace readiness. The role will contribute to curriculum development, research, student mentoring, and institutional initiatives, ensuring an engaging and industry-relevant learning experience aligned with the mission of SOIL School of Business Design. 


Key Responsibilities 


1. Teaching & Academic Delivery 


  • Deliver engaging and outcome-based courses in Business Communication, Managerial Communication, Professional Writing, Presentation Skills, and related subjects. 
  • Design and update course content, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources in line with contemporary industry practices. 
  • Integrate experiential learning methodologies such as case studies, simulations, role plays, presentations, and project-based learning. 
  • Evaluate student performance through assignments, presentations, projects, examinations, and continuous assessments. 
  • Leverage technology and AI-enabled teaching tools to enhance classroom engagement and learning outcomes. 
  • Maintain high academic standards while ensuring timely completion of course delivery and evaluations. 


2. Research & Academic Contribution 


  • Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals. 
  • Present research papers at national and international conferences. 
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of academic programs. 
  • Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and academic governance initiatives. 
  • Support interdisciplinary research and collaborative academic projects aligned with institutional priorities. 


3. Student Development & Institutional Engagement 


  • Mentor students on academic progress, communication effectiveness, and career readiness. 
  • Support placement initiatives through interview preparation, business communication workshops, and presentation coaching. 
  • Guide students in live projects, competitions, research, and experiential learning initiatives. 
  • Contribute to student clubs, orientation programs, industry interactions, and other academic events. 
  • Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to strengthen practice-oriented learning experiences.

  • Strong subject matter expertise in Business Communication, Corporate Communication, and Professional Communication. 
  • Excellent teaching, facilitation, and classroom management skills. 
  • Strong research orientation with demonstrated academic writing capabilities. 
  • Effective communication, mentoring, and student engagement skills. 
  • Ability to integrate technology and innovative pedagogical practices into teaching. 
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills. 
  • High levels of academic integrity, professionalism, and continuous learning. 


Requirements 


  • Master's degree in Communication, English, Business Communication, Mass Communication, Management, or a related discipline. 
  • Ph.D. (Completed or Pursuing) in a relevant discipline is preferred; NET qualification will be an added advantage where applicable. 
  • 2–6 years of teaching, research, or industry experience in Communication or Business Communication. 
  • Prior teaching experience in higher education institutions, preferably AICTE-approved institutions or business schools. 
  • Demonstrated research publications and conference presentations will be an added advantage.
