Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Sales Manager – Scaffolding & Formwork role based in Meerut. The role involves supporting and driving sales activities for scaffolding, formwork, and shuttering systems, including handling inquiries, preparing quotations, and following up with clients to close orders. The Assistant Sales Manager will maintain relationships with existing customers, identify new business opportunities, and conduct regular visits to project sites and client offices. Responsibilities include coordinating with the engineering and operations teams on technical specifications, delivery schedules, and pricing, as well as assisting in negotiations and contract finalization. The role also requires tracking sales performance, preparing reports, participating in sales reviews, and contributing to marketing initiatives such as product presentations and industry events.
Qualifications
  • Strong sales, business development, and client relationship management skills in construction or related industries.
  • Working knowledge of scaffolding, formwork, or steel shuttering systems and ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in basic commercial calculations, quotation preparation, and negotiation of pricing and terms.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple inquiries, site visits, and follow-ups efficiently.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in B2B sales within construction, infrastructure, or industrial products is an advantage.
  • Comfort with using office productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or sales tracking software) and preparing concise reports.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally for client meetings and site visits.
