Company Description VKR, VNB & AGK College of Engineering, established in 2008, is a self-financing institution founded by the General and Technical Education Society of Gudivada. The campus is spread over 15 acres on the outskirts of Gudivada city, with academic departments, playfields, and staff and student amenities located within convenient walking distance. The college provides technical education in core engineering disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. It also offers postgraduate programs such as M.Tech (CSE, VLSI, Thermal Engineering) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). The institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK), Andhra Pradesh.
Role Description The Associate Professor role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Gudivada, with primary on-campus responsibilities and limited flexibility for work from home for specified academic and administrative activities. The Associate Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses, prepare lesson plans, and develop instructional materials aligned with the curriculum and accreditation requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions; assessing student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects; and providing academic mentoring and guidance. The role also involves supervising student projects and theses, engaging in scholarly research and publications, and actively participating in departmental and institutional committees. The Associate Professor is expected to contribute to curriculum development, accreditation processes, industry-institute interaction, outreach activities, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum qualifications as per AICTE and JNTUK norms, typically including a Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering.
  • Effective classroom management, student engagement, and mentoring skills, with the ability to support diverse learners and foster an inclusive academic environment.
