Role Description The Associate Professor of Pharmacy will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to undergraduate and/or postgraduate pharmacy students. Day-to-day activities include designing and updating course curricula, preparing teaching materials, supervising laboratory work, and mentoring students in academic projects and research activities. The role involves guiding students on professional practices, evaluating student performance through exams and assignments, and maintaining accurate academic records. The Associate Professor will participate in academic committees, contribute to accreditation processes, engage in scholarly research, and support departmental initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Lucknow Area, requiring regular presence on campus and active participation in college events and academic meetings.
Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in core pharmacy disciplines such as pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, or pharmacognosy, with the ability to teach and mentor students in these areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in academic teaching, curriculum development, and student assessment within a recognized pharmacy or healthcare program.
  • Proven research capabilities, including published work in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, or ongoing research projects in relevant pharmacy fields.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and collaborate with colleagues and administrative staff.
  • Commitment to ethical practices, regulatory compliance in pharmacy education, and adherence to national and state-level education and pharmacy council guidelines.
  • Relevant academic qualifications, typically a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Pharmacy or a closely related discipline, along with a Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent in pharmacy education, meeting applicable regulatory body criteria for appointment as Associate Professor.
  • Ability to contribute to institutional development through participation in academic committees, quality assurance activities, community outreach, and student support initiatives.
