Position Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and driven individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager. This role is ideal for Min 2 years of experience in the social sector or customer success and support roles. While gaining experience in corporate engagement, corporate social responsibility (CSR) outreach, and proposal writing. You will be responsible for identifying potential funding opportunities, maintaining relationships with donors and corporates, and contributing to fundraising efforts. As part of the role, you will be expected to be available on call to communicate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Donor Engagement:
● Identify potential donors, including foundations, and corporate partners, and reach out to secure funding.
● Build and nurture relationships with existing and new donors through consistent communication and follow-ups.
● Prepare presentations to showcase the organization’s work and demonstrate how donor contributions are utilized.
● Engage with corporate entities to identify CSR opportunities and partnerships.
● Present the organization’s work to corporate representatives, aligning project goals with CSR objectives.
● Assist in drafting and submitting CSR project proposals and reports in compliance
with corporate guidelines.
Government Liaisoning & Resource Mobilization:
● Facilitating collaboration between the NGO and government stakeholders to support program implementation and sustainability.
● Monitoring government schemes, CSR initiatives, and funding programs relevant to the organization's mission.
● Representing the organization in meetings, consultations, and advocacy platforms to secure financial and institutional support.
● Assist in drafting funding proposals, grant applications, and concept notes tailored to different donor or CSR requirements.
● Research and gather data to support proposal writing, ensuring they are compelling and aligned with donor expectations.
● Maintain accurate records of donor communications, proposals, and funding received for reporting purposes.
● Support the team in identifying opportunities to attend events, conferences, and CSR forums to expand the organization’s network.
● Represent the organization at donor meetings, corporate gatherings, and networking events to promote the organization’s mission and attract potential partnerships.
● Be available on-call to handle urgent donor inquiries, corporate interactions, and other stakeholder communications.
● Provide real-time updates to donors and corporate partners, ensuring transparency and responsiveness.
● Work closely with the project management and communication teams to gather project updates and craft compelling stories for donors.
● Ensure alignment between donor requirements and project outcomes, providing necessary feedback to the project teams.

● Confidence in making calls and following up with stakeholders on an ongoing basis
● Creative problem-solving abilities to align donor expectations with organizational goals
● Comfortable using digital communication platforms and tools
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in any field (social work, business, communication, or related fields are a plus)
● Freshers with a strong desire to work in the development sector are encouraged to apply
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to confidently interact with clients and customers over the phone.
● Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.
● Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
