Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Chandigarh, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with schools and educational institutes, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. Day-to-day activities include building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, presenting eduTinker’s platform and solutions, conducting product demonstrations, and negotiating contracts. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine value propositions, gather market feedback, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients. The role also involves tracking performance metrics, preparing regular reports, and contributing to strategic planning to drive growth in assigned territories.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or education services.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and deal negotiation to consistently achieve or exceed targets.
- Ability to build long-term client relationships, engage with decision-makers, and present complex solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, sales enablement platforms, and data-driven insights to plan outreach and track performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and product demos to diverse audiences.
- Solid understanding of school operations, education technology trends, or institutional sales cycles is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed to meet clients, attend events, and support business expansion.
