We're Honeycomb Creative Support, a marcom agency with 17+ years of experience in branding, digital marketing, design, and content. Our client list includes Tanishq, Decathlon, Taneira, Titan Watches, Edward Lifesciences, Infosys, Ogilvy, Bosch, Abbott, ITC, and more.


We also run four sister brands:


  • Photostop - An artist's archive for fine art print needs.
  • Anamala Homestay - A dreamy getaway resort in Kerala.
  • Mudkart - An eco-construction material supplier.
  • Honeyhive - Staff augmentation for creative talent


We're scaling aggressively, and we need a sharp, driven Business Development Manager to lead that charge.


The Role

This is a senior individual contributor + team lead role. You will be the primary growth engine for Honeycomb's three core verticals - Website Development, Design, and Performance Marketing - owning the full sales cycle from first contact to deal closure, and handing off to client servicing seamlessly.


You'll work directly with our strategy team, brief them on pitch requirements, and execute the outbound sales strategy they help build. You'll also manage and mentor two BD Executives who report to you.


What You'll Be Doing


1. Own Inbound & Outbound Sales

  • Handle all inbound leads across our three verticals - qualify, nurture, and convert.
  • Collaborate and execute the outbound sales strategy developed by the strategy team: identify target segments, build prospect lists, and drive outreach across channels.
  • Maintain a healthy, well-documented pipeline and report on it regularly.

2. Lead the Full Sales Cycle

  • Run discovery calls and consultative meetings to deeply understand a client's business goals - whether it's brand visibility, lead generation, e-commerce, or creative output.
  • Pitch tailored solutions across web development, design, and performance marketing - solo or in collaboration with the strategy and pitch team.
  • Identify what collateral, decks, case studies, or proposals are needed and brief the strategy/pitch team accordingly.
  • Lead cost discussions, build quotations, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Ensure a smooth, documented handover to the Client Servicing team post-closure.

3. Supervise & Develop the BD Team

  • Manage two BD Executives - assign leads, review pipelines, coach on pitches, and keep them accountable to targets.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex deals or client objections within the team.
  • Build a performance-driven but collaborative sales culture.

4. Be the Bridge Between Sales & Strategy

  • Work closely with the strategy team to stay aligned on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
  • Feed real-time market intelligence back - what clients are asking for, what objections keep coming up, what competitors are doing.
  • Help refine service packaging and pricing based on what you see in the field.

5. Grow & Retain Client Relationships

  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers at brands, startups, and enterprises.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across verticals once a client is onboarded.
  • Ensure every handover to client servicing sets the relationship up for long-term success.


What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • 4-7 years in business development or sales, with at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven track record selling digital services - web development, creative/design, or performance marketing.
  • Strong understanding of what goes into each vertical: tech stacks, design processes, paid media - enough to have credible conversations with clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing a pipeline and working to monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
  • Comfortable owning quotations, commercial negotiations, and contract discussions.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Prior experience in a digital or creative agency environment.
  • Existing network in marketing, branding, or digital roles in Bangalore.
  • Familiarity with SEO, UX, or analytics — enough to speak to them in a pitch.

📍 This is an on-site role. Candidates based in Bangalore or willing to relocate will be preferred.
