Role Description


The Business Development Manager at PurpleDocs is a full-time travelling role across the country. This role is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers, and building a strong pipeline of prospects. The Business Development Manager will conduct product presentations and demonstrations, develop and deliver proposals, and negotiate contracts in alignment with company policies. Day-to-day activities include market research, competitor analysis, stakeholder engagement, and close collaboration with product and implementation teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients. The role also involves maintaining long-term relationships with existing customers, gathering feedback for product improvement, and achieving sales targets and revenue growth objectives.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in healthcare technology companies.
  • Strong skills in lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management, and deal closing.
  • Ability to conduct effective client meetings, product demos, and negotiations with diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of hospital operations, health information systems, or digital records management is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools, productivity software, and data to track performance and inform decisions.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating with on-site teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.


P.S. The candidate must be willing to travel aggressively across the country as needed.
