Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Gujarat. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing and prospective clients, and driving sales growth for cutting and welding machinery solutions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, developing and executing sales strategies, preparing and delivering product presentations, and coordinating demonstrations with technical teams. The Business Development Manager will negotiate contracts, manage the sales pipeline, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely proposals, quotations, and order fulfillment. The role also involves monitoring competitor activities, gathering customer feedback, and contributing to long-term business planning and revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, negotiation, and closing.
- Experience in industrial or capital equipment sales, preferably in cutting, welding, metal fabrication, or related engineering sectors.
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships, manage key accounts, and provide consultative solutions based on client needs.
- Proficiency in market research, competitor analysis, and sales forecasting to support strategic planning.
- Solid communication and presentation skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital channels to manage the sales process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
- Proactive, self-driven work style with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and fabrication units as required.
