Business Intelligence Manager — Tableau
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Tableau Development & Architecture
- Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated Tableau dashboards, workbooks, and data sources for pharma client engagements
- Build scalable, reusable Tableau components including calculated fields, LOD expressions, and parameters
- Architect Tableau Server/Cloud environments including content organization, permissions, and performance optimization
- Conduct code reviews and enforce Tableau development best practices across the team
Data Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with pharmaceutical clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business questions into BI solutions
- Lead discovery workshops to define KPIs, metrics frameworks, and data storytelling strategies
- Present and communicate complex analytical findings to senior executives and non-technical audiences
- Act as a strategic advisor on best practices for data visualization and business intelligence
Team Leadership & Governance
- Manage and mentor a team of BI analysts and developers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Establish and enforce data governance standards, documentation practices, and QA processes
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data models, ETL pipelines, and source-of-truth datasets
- Drive adoption of BI tools across client organizations through training and enablement programs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Life Sciences, or related field;
- 5+ years of hands-on Tableau development experience with strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud, and Tableau Prep
- Demonstrated expertise in LOD expressions, table calculations, blended data sources, and performance optimization
- Strong domain experience working in US pharmaceutical domain (commercial operations and analytics)
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse)
- Proven ability to manage multiple client-facing projects simultaneously in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive presence
