Business Systems Engineer

SysCloud is a Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform providing the capability within a single pane of glass to backup mission critical SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks Online, HubSpot, Slack, and Salesforce. Our platform offers a comprehensive suite of solutions like backup, data recovery, ransomware protection, compliance alerts, and eDiscovery search. 

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Business Systems Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience working with business applications, system integrations, APIs, and automation. They should be eager to learn new technologies, adapt quickly to changing business needs, and leverage AI tools to improve productivity and business processes. 

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building reliable, configuration-driven systems that support SaaS application onboarding, operational workflows, review processes, validation pipelines, and monitoring dashboards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support business system integrations and automations.
• Design, build, and troubleshoot REST API integrations with third-party applications.
• Configure, customize, and support Salesforce based on business requirements.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues across business systems and integrations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Product teams.
• Participate in software deployments using CI/CD practices.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve business processes.
• Utilize AI tools and services to enhance automation, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for integrations and system processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as a Business Systems Engineer, Integration Engineer, Systems Engineer, or a similar technical role.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce, including Administration, Flows, Apex Triggers, and basic customization.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and system integrations.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write and understand queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and modern AI tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and business applications.

Good To Have

• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment pipelines.
• Exposure to AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, or EventBridge.
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, or another scripting/programming language.
• Experience using Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with business application integrations such as CRM, ERP, finance, or support platforms is an advantage.
