Foxtale is one of India's fastest-growing skincare brands, built on the belief that effective skincare should be science-backed, accessible, and fun. As we scale, we are doubling down on intelligence-driven decision-making to stay ahead of the market and deliver meaningful value to our customers.

We are looking for a Category Analyst (Competitive Intelligence) to be our eyes and ears on the skincare ecosystem — someone who lives and breathes skincare, is curious about the market, and loves diving deep into data, trends, and strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

Competitive Intelligence

  • Track competitor brands daily across e-commerce, social media, offline presence, and influencer marketing.
  • Maintain and update dashboards of competitor rankings, share of shelf, new launches, campaigns, and pricing changes.
  • Monitor reviews, ratings, and consumer chatter to decode competitor strengths and gaps.

Market & Category Insights

  • Build structured reports on market size, growth trends, and sub-category performance.
  • Analyze region-wise competitive dynamics and share actionable insights
  • Track innovations and emerging white spaces in skincare globally and contextualize for Foxtale.

Marketing & Growth Strategy Analysis

  • Break down competitors' marketing campaigns, influencer partnerships, and brand collaborations.
  • Provide intelligence on promotional strategies, discounting patterns, and distribution expansions.
  • Surface opportunities for Foxtale to differentiate and lead.

Reporting & Communication

  • Develop weekly and monthly competitor intelligence decks for leadership.
  • Provide quick-turnaround insights during high-stakes periods (new launches, festive campaigns, etc.).
  • Collaborate with category, marketing, and growth teams to integrate findings into strategy.


Qualifications:

Experience: 1–3 years in consulting, research, category management, or strategy roles. Prior exposure to consumer brands (FMCG, beauty, personal care, D2C) is a plus.

Skills & Interests:

  • Strong analytical and research skills with ability to synthesize insights from multiple sources.
  • Naturally curious and genuinely interested in skincare, beauty, and consumer behavior.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and comfort with data tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills — ability to present insights in a crisp, actionable manner.
