Role Description The Chess Instructor at Unpuzzle Club will deliver engaging, structured chess lessons to learners of varying ages and skill levels in an on-site setting located in Bengaluru. This full-time role includes planning lesson content, organizing practice sessions, and conducting group classes and one-on-one tutoring to strengthen strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. The instructor will analyze and review games with students, provide constructive feedback, and develop training plans to track progress over time. Responsibilities also include coordinating with the club’s staff to schedule sessions, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, and participating in tournaments or events that promote chess and overall cognitive development.

Qualifications

• Strong chess skills with a solid understanding of openings, tactics, strategies, and endgames.
• Competence in Mathematics to support logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and structured problem-solving.
• Experience in Teaching and Tutoring, with the ability to adapt instruction to different age groups and skill levels.
• Background in Training, including developing practice plans, monitoring progress, and motivating learners.
• Clear communication skills, patience, and a learner-centered approach that fosters inclusivity and respect.
• Experience working with children or youth in educational, sports, or club environments is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru on a full-time schedule and collaborate effectively with the club’s team.
• Relevant certifications or documented experience in chess coaching, teaching, or sports education are an advantage.
