With a strong focus on quality, innovation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking an experienced operations leader to drive manufacturing performance, process optimization, and business growth.

This is a confidential leadership hiring for a highly specialized manufacturing operation.

Position Summary


The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring world-class production standards, operational efficiency, quality excellence, supply chain effectiveness, and continuous improvement across the organization.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in managing facilities, preferably within highly regulated, precision, or process-driven industries such as:

  • Medical Devices
  • Precision Engineering
  • Optics & Photonics
  • Electronics Manufacturing
  • Automotive Components
  • Aerospace Components
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing
  • Specialty Glass or Advanced Materials
  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • FMCG Manufacturing with automated production environments

The candidate should be capable of establishing scalable operational systems while driving productivity, cost optimization, and sustainable business growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead overall manufacturing operations and plant management, ensuring operational excellence across all functions.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives and long-term growth plans.
  • Drive business development initiatives by identifying new market opportunities, building strategic customer relationships, supporting key sales efforts, and contributing to revenue growth.
  • Oversee production planning, capacity utilization, and manufacturing efficiency to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Ensure achievement of quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and safety targets across manufacturing operations.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Oversee procurement, supply chain, inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations to ensure uninterrupted production and optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, R&D, and Quality teams to align production capabilities with customer and market demands.
  • Drive automation, process optimization, and operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Develop and mentor the plant leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.
  • Report to the Executive Leadership Team on operational performance, business growth initiatives, strategic projects, and key organizational objectives.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline).
  • Master's Degree / MBA in Operations Management is preferred.
  • 18–25+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Minimum 8–10 years in a senior leadership role overseeing end-to-end manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, quality management, engineering processes, maintenance, supply chain, and industrial operations.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance operational efficiency and business objectives.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in ISO-certified manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to automation, Industry 4.0 initiatives, ERP systems, and data-driven manufacturing will be an added advantage.
