Role Description The City Head – Logistics will oversee end-to-end logistics operations for Akshayakalpa Organic in Mumbai in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role will manage daily distribution activities, including route planning, vehicle scheduling, and coordination with warehouses to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. The individual will monitor inventory levels, align procurement and supply chain processes with demand forecasts, and work closely with cross-functional teams such as sales and operations to maintain service quality. Responsibilities also include supervising logistics partners, optimizing costs, enforcing safety and quality standards, and implementing process improvements to strengthen operational efficiency. The role involves regular performance tracking, reporting key logistics metrics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Logistics Management skills with experience in route planning, transportation coordination, and delivery operations.
• Candidates should possess Supply Chain Management and Procurement skills to align sourcing, vendor management, and demand planning.
• Candidates should possess Inventory Management skills to track stock levels, reduce wastage, and support accurate order fulfillment.
• Candidates should possess Warehouse Operations skills, including oversight of storage, loading/unloading, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Relevant experience in FMCG, dairy, or food logistics, preferably in an urban distribution environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading on-ground teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field; advanced certifications in logistics or supply chain are an advantage.
