Retail & Restaurant Project Manager

Salary Range: $130,000–$155,000 DOE

Position Overview

Pivotal Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail & Restaurant Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing commercial retail, QSR, and restaurant construction projects from pre-construction through closeout while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage retail, QSR, and restaurant construction projects from start to finish
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination
  • Lead communication between clients, architects, engineers, vendors, and field teams
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and submittals
  • Coordinate permitting, procurement, inspections, and project closeout
  • Track project costs, change orders, RFIs, and overall financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines
  • Collaborate closely with superintendents and field personnel to proactively resolve issues
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear updates to stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Strong experience managing retail, QSR, and restaurant construction projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and scheduling
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Strong budgeting and cost management experience
  • Valid driver’s license required

Vacation Stipend

  • $2,500 annual vacation bonus paid upon completion of a qualified vacation with submission of receipts
  • Employees become eligible after 6 months of employment
