About Mauji

Mauji is a Third Space Company building spaces where people can work, meet, create, learn, connect, and spend time meaningfully.

More than a café, Mauji is a community-driven third space designed around the belief that people step out of their homes not just for food or coffee, but for connection, belonging, inspiration, and experiences.

We are looking for Community Managers who can help us build, nurture, and grow thriving communities while ensuring exceptional customer experiences and smooth day-to-day operations.

Role Overview

As a Community Manager, you will be the face of Mauji at your location.

You will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment, managing day-to-day operations, engaging with customers, supporting events, building local partnerships, and ensuring that every person who walks into Mauji feels at home.

This role combines community building, hospitality, events, operations, and customer experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity & Customer Experience
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
  • Build meaningful relationships with members, regular customers, and community stakeholders.
  • Engage with customers and ensure a high-quality experience at the space.
  • Handle customer feedback, concerns, and special requests professionally.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
Events & Community Engagement
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, workshops, meetups, and gatherings.
  • Support artist, creator, and partner collaborations.
  • Build relationships with local communities, colleges, organizations, and businesses.
  • Assist in growing Mauji's presence within the city.
Operations & Space Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the location.
  • Conduct regular space audits and maintain cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetics.
  • Coordinate with vendors, maintenance teams, and service providers.
  • Ensure smooth opening and closing procedures.
Marketing & Growth
  • Support local marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Identify collaboration opportunities that drive community engagement and footfall.
  • Assist with content creation and social media engagement when required.
  • Help promote events and community initiatives.
Reporting & Administration
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Track event performance and customer feedback.
  • Follow operational SOPs and maintain documentation.
Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about people, hospitality, events, and community building.
  • Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solvers with a customer-first mindset.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Interested in culture, creativity, entrepreneurship, and experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, events, customer service, coworking, cafés, communities, or related industries is preferred.
  • Experience in event management, community building, or customer-facing roles is an advantage.

Important Note

⚠️ This is an on-site role.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with people, hosting experiences, and being present in the space. This role cannot be performed remotely.
