The founding team are IIM Ahmedabad alumni with prior experience at Amazon, Flipkart and Uber India.

About the Role

We're looking for a Demand Planner who will be the forecasting brain behind our category business. In this role, you'll transform sales trends, seasonality, marketing plans, and product launches into accurate SKU-level demand forecasts that ensure we always have the right products available—without tying up cash in excess inventory.

Working closely with Category, Sourcing, Marketing, and Operations, you'll own demand forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment, and inventory health across our D2C and marketplace channels. What You'll Do

Demand Forecasting

• Build and maintain accurate SKU-level demand forecasts across multiple sales channels.
• Analyze historical sales, seasonality, promotions, and product launch plans.
• Continuously improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias.
• Translate category and marketing plans into forward-looking demand forecasts.

Inventory & Replenishment Planning

• Define and optimize safety stock, reorder points, and inventory norms.
• Plan replenishment and provide clear purchase recommendations to the sourcing team.
• Allocate inventory efficiently across D2C and marketplace channels.
• Monitor inventory health and proactively identify stock-out and overstock risks.
• Drive improvements in inventory turns while minimizing excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory.

Category Planning

• Forecast demand for new product launches and support initial buy planning.
• Partner with Category, Sourcing, and Marketing to build inventory plans aligned with business goals.
• Contribute demand and inventory insights during monthly S&OP and category review meetings.
• Balance demand plans with operational capacity and working capital requirements.

Analytics & Reporting

• Build dashboards and reports tracking demand, inventory health, forecast accuracy, in-stock performance, inventory turns, and E&O.
• Convert complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations that support business decisions.

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Category Planning, or Business/Data Analytics.
• Experience in Retail, D2C, E-commerce, FMCG, Consumer Products, or a similar fast-paced industry.
• Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment, safety stock, reorder points, inventory turns, and inventory optimization.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data modeling, and analysis).
• SQL is a strong advantage.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Category, Sourcing, Marketing, and Operations teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
