About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve in the capacity of Director/Sr. Vice President of Health, Nutrition & WASH practice for IPE Global globally. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership, project management, and business development responsibilities. The incumbent will be responsible for driving innovation and growth in our Health, Nutrition & WASH portfolio, identifying cutting-edge ideas and cultivating strategic partnerships. S/He will also lead on some of the existing and upcoming projects in the space of Health Systems Strengthening, RMHCH+A, SRH, Health Financing, and other related areas.

Career Trajectory: This position will shadow the Practice Head, with a clear trajectory to lead the entire practice within a year. The role offers an unparalleled opportunity for an ambitious leader to shape the direction of our health initiatives and advance to the highest levels of organisational leadership.

Location: This position will be based either out of New Delhi and will be responsible for global operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Project Management

• Provide visionary leadership to ensure programmatic excellence and financial integrity across projects
• Develop and update comprehensive work plans aligned with beneficiary needs, government priorities, and donor requirements
• Ensure compliance with funder policies (Gates Foundation, CIFF, World Bank, AfDB, ADB, etc.), IPE Global procedures, and international best practices
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funding agencies, Ministry of Health, and implementing partners
• Oversee project budgets, financial operations, and resource allocation

Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance

• Guide the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions
• Ensure technical quality and sustainability of all project activities
• Lead the development of robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks
• Review and contribute to technical reports, publications, and knowledge products

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams
• Streamline team efforts to achieve rapid and sustainable results
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

Business Development & Partnerships

• Identify trendsetting ideas in health, nutrition, and WASH sectors
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and key stakeholders
• Lead proposal development for complex, large-scale bids
• Collaborate with technical experts to identify new business opportunities
• Enhance IPE Global's brand and reputation in the health and development sector

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Public Health, International Development, or related field
• 15+ years of experience in leadership roles within international development, with a focus on health programs
• Proven track record in managing large-scale donor-funded projects
• Expert knowledge of sexual and reproductive health, family planning, and WASH programming
• Strong financial management and business development skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Willingness to travel frequently within India
