Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Design Engineer located in Mangaluru. The responsibilities include designing and developing electrical systems, creating electrical schematics, developing power distribution plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient project execution. Additionally, the role involves analyzing technical specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the design and implementation phases.

Qualifications

• Develop complete electrical design concepts and detailed engineering deliverables as part of MEP consultancy scope
• Perform detailed electrical load calculations for LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, and complete power distribution networks
• Design internal and external lighting systems, including lux calculations, lighting layouts, lighting controls, and energy-efficient solutions
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematics, panel schedules, and distribution layouts
• Carry out cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies
• Design and integrate ELV systems such as fire alarm, data & voice, access control, CCTV, PA systems, and BMS interfaces
• Design earthing and lightning protection systems in compliance with IS codes and project specifications
• Coordinate electrical services with HVAC ducting, plumbing piping, firefighting systems, and structural elements to achieve clash-free MEP designs
• Review architectural drawings to align electrical layouts with functional, operational, and aesthetic requirements
• Ensure designs comply with NBC, IS standards, local authority regulations, and client requirements
• Review drawings, calculations, and BOQs prepared by junior engineers and provide technical guidance
• Participate in design coordination meetings, technical reviews, value engineering, and client discussions
