Company Description EV-SATHI is focused on building smarter, sustainable electric mobility across India by providing comprehensive EV charging infrastructure solutions. The company delivers end-to-end services including site surveys, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and AC/DC charger installation and commissioning. EV-SATHI supports residential, commercial, fleet, and public charging projects with preventive and corrective maintenance (AMC). The team also offers ongoing technical support, ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient charging operations for diverse customer needs.
Role Description This is a contract, on-site Electrician role based in Chennai. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair AC and DC EV chargers and related electrical systems at residential, commercial, fleet, and public charging sites. Day-to-day tasks include performing wiring and connections, conducting routine inspections, diagnosing electrical faults, and carrying out corrective repairs and preventive maintenance. The role involves working closely with engineers and site teams to ensure compliance with safety standards, proper documentation of work, and timely completion of assigned projects. The Electrician may also support site surveys and commissioning activities as required.
Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and practical electrical work skills relevant to EV charging infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance & repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
• Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles as applied to installation and operation of AC/DC chargers.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards, PPE usage, and safe work practices at on-site locations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
• Vocational training, ITI, diploma, or equivalent certification in electrical trade; relevant licenses as per local regulations are an advantage.
• Previous experience with EV charging systems or similar power equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage physical tasks, and collaborate effectively with project and engineering teams.
