About Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our Technology team at a leading professional services company focused on sustainability. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering corporate and technology strategic initiatives. This role requires advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a strong commitment to stakeholder engagement and customer service. As the Enterprise Architect, you will collaborate with business and technology leaders to define, communicate, and evolve the organization’s enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment between IT strategy and business objectives.

Job Description

You’ll be Responsible for:

• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint, aligning technology strategy with business goals and objectives.
• Develop multi-year transformational roadmaps
• Identify and reduce technical debt
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into architectural solutions across business, data, application, and technology domains.
• Govern and guide the design, implementation, and evolution of IT systems to ensure consistency with architectural principles, standards, and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Lead the creation and review of architecture documents, roadmaps, and transition plans for business transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, providing recommendations to enhance business agility, scalability, and innovation.
• Facilitate architecture review boards and ensure stakeholder consensus on proposed solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, risk management, and regulatory requirements within the architecture framework.
• Own and evolve enterprise-wide architecture across, business, application and data (including integration).
• Oversee and guide the domain architects in the best principles and practices in there respective areas.
• Run and support architecture governance (review boards, design authorities)
• Mentor and guide solution architects, engineers, and project teams in applying architectural best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the architecture community.
• Hands on approach to working on the framework and blueprint
• Own the domains that drive the business and ensure that they aligned to the govern framework

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as an enterprise architect or in a similar senior architecture role.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and IT governance models.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide technology solutions, including cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), data management, and integration.
• Strong understanding of business processes, organizational strategy, and digital transformation principles.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery models.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; industry certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS, Azure) are highly regarded.

Basic Qualifications:

• Graduate degree
• At least 8 to 10 years in a similar role and experience
• Industry Certifications in EA (TOGAF, Zachmans etc)
