About the Role: We are looking for a highly driven Finance Controller to lead the company's finance function end-to-end. This is a high-impact role with complete ownership of financial operations, controllership, compliance, treasury, MIS, and strategic finance. You will work closely with the founders on fundraising, business planning, and scaling finance systems while building a best-in-class finance organization. It’s a full-time in-office role in Bangalore.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Reporting, Planning & Operations

·      Own the end-to-end accounting function including General Ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial controls across all business channels (offline distributors, hospitals, Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Shopify, etc.).

·      Ensure real-time bookkeeping with strong process discipline in Zoho Books.

·      Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.

·      Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

·      Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, MIS, unit economics, and business performance analysis.

·      Prepare investor-ready financial models, board MIS, and due diligence data rooms.

·      Partner with founders on fundraising, debt financing, and strategic financial planning.


2. Taxation, Audit & Statutory Compliance

·      Ensure accurate and timely filing of all direct and indirect tax obligations (GST, TDS, PF, Income Tax).

·      Manage employee payroll, track expenses, and liaise with tax consultants for authority queries.

·      Serve as the primary point of contact for statutory, internal, and tax auditors.

·      Maintain 24-hour TAT readiness for due diligence with structured documentation.

·      Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation and physical verification.


3. Treasury & Working Capital Management

·      Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital cycles, and banking relationships.

·      Oversee fund utilisation, credit facilities, and investment of surplus funds.

·      Monitor AP and AR aging, ensuring vendors are paid within terms and receivables are collected on time especially from offline distributors.

·      Ensure regular bank reconciliations and 100% Zoho accuracy.

·      Maintain tight control over working capital with zero cash leakage approach.


4. Internal Controls & Process Excellence

·      Design and implement internal control frameworks and SOPs across the finance function.

·      Enforce segregation of duties and ensure ERP data integrity in Zoho.

·      Drive automation to improve efficiency and minimize manual errors or revenue leakages.

·      Maintain all documentation / ledgers in an organized and professional manner.


5. Team Leadership & Development

·      Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounts team.

·      Define KPIs and foster a culture of accuracy and accountability.


Key Skills & Competencies

·      Deep technical command of Ind AS / GAAP and direct/indirect taxation.

·      Advanced proficiency in Zoho Books (Mandatory) and Excel.

·      Strong ability to translate financial complexity for non-finance stakeholders.

·      Integrity-driven with an eye for detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines.


Qualifications & Experience

·      Deep understanding of Zoho books - Mandatory

·       Prior experience in D2C / FMCG / Consumer business especially dealing with online market places is a must.

·      3–5 years of post-qualification experience in strategic finance and controllership.

·      Prior experience in D2C / FMCG / Consumer business with online marketplace exposure is a must.

·      CA or CMA qualification.
