Flutter Developer
Fuelshine
Job Description
Flutter Developer (iOS) — Fuelshine
Location: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid — on-site presence required. Remote applicants will not be considered.)
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience: 2 Years
Working Hours: Flexible, with at least 3 hours of daily overlap with the North American team
Reports To: Founder
⚠️ This role is for iOS developers only. If you have not shipped an app to the Apple App Store, please do not apply.
About Fuelshine
Fuelshine is an AI-powered mileage and fuel intelligence platform built for distributed workforces. We auto-log every trip on the phone, GPS-verify it the moment it happens, and turn it into an audit-ready record for tax claims, reimbursements, and compliance. From gig drivers to grey fleets across North America and India — every mile, accounted for.
The Role
We are looking for a Flutter Developer with strong iOS experience, based in Hyderabad, to help build the Fuelshine mobile app — the product our entire business runs on. You will work directly with our Founder and ship features that reach real drivers within weeks of being written.
iOS is our primary platform. The majority of our users are on iPhone. We need someone who understands iOS behaviour deeply — not someone learning it on the job.
What You Will Do
- Build and ship features in our Flutter codebase with a primary focus on iOS
- Work with iOS-specific APIs — background location, CoreMotion, local notifications, and App Store submission
- Contribute to trip detection, background location tracking, and offline-sync logic
- Integrate REST APIs, Firebase, and third-party SDKs
- Own App Store releases end to end — submission, review responses, staged rollouts
- Write clean, tested code that holds up in production on iPhone
What You Must Bring
- Based in Hyderabad — hybrid role, physical presence required. No exceptions.
- 2+ years of mobile development, with at least 1 year hands-on in Flutter and Dart
- Minimum one app live on the Apple iOS App Store under your name — this is non-negotiable. No App Store link in your application = no review.
- Solid understanding of iOS-specific behaviour — permissions, background modes, memory management
- Working comfort with one state management pattern (Riverpod, Bloc, or Provider)
- Practical experience with REST APIs and geolocation packages
- Clear written English and a remote-friendly work style
Nice to Have
- Deep experience with iOS background location and CoreLocation
- Firebase or Supabase experience
- Understanding of Apple's App Store review guidelines and common rejection reasons
- A portfolio, side project, or open-source contribution we can look at
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on your experience and what you have shipped
- Direct mentorship from the Founder on architecture, product, and shipping at startup speed
- Flexible hours with daily overlap with the North American team
- Real ownership — your code reaches iPhone users in weeks, not quarters
- 3-month probation reviewed on clear milestones
How to Apply
Apply through LinkedIn with your CV and a GitHub or portfolio link.
Your application message must include a note covering all three points — no note, no review:
- One iOS app you have shipped — Apple App Store link only. What did you build and what was your specific contribution?
- One iOS-specific bug or challenge you solved — what it was, why it was hard, how you fixed it
- Your preferred state management pattern and why
Android-only portfolios will not be considered.
Hiring Process
Screening call (30 min) → Paid iOS take-home exercise (3 hrs) → Technical conversation with the Founder → Offer
Fuelshine is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experience paths.
