Hiring: Senior Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding

Location: Udyog Vihar Phase-1, Gurugram
Experience: 8–15 Years
Salary: Up to 80,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Sales Manager to drive business growth across Sea Freight and Air Freight (Import & Export) operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding sales, global agent network management, key account handling, and strategic business development.

This role also requires exposure to generalist HR functions, making it ideal for a professional who can contribute to both commercial growth and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

- Drive B2B sales for Sea Freight (FCL & LCL) and Air Freight (Import & Export) services.
- Consistently achieve revenue targets and business growth objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop customized logistics solutions for customers.
- Manage key accounts and build long-term relationships with shippers, consignees, and corporate clients.
- Develop strategic pricing models and maintain profitability across trade lanes.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and business mapping activities.

Global Agent Management

- Develop and strengthen relationships with international freight forwarding agents.
- Expand and manage overseas agent networks across key trade lanes.
- Negotiate rates, service agreements, and operational terms with agents and carriers.
- Ensure smooth coordination between global partners and internal teams.

Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless shipment execution.
- Monitor service quality, customer satisfaction, and SLA compliance.
- Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

HR & Team Management

- Support manpower planning and recruitment activities across various levels.
- Assist in performance management, employee engagement, and learning & development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Mentor and guide team members to achieve business objectives.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 8–15 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Sales.
- Strong knowledge of Sea Freight, Air Freight, Import & Export operations.
- Proven track record in business development and target achievement.
- Experience in managing global agent networks and international trade lanes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with understanding of pricing and P&L management.
- Exposure to HR generalist activities will be an added advantage.
