About the job
Hospitality and retail run on thin margins and constant pressure. We are building the operating system for the industry - shift scheduling, task management, real-time POS integrations, and AI-powered insights for restaurants and hotels.
Way of working
You will work directly with the founders and a small core team. No layers, no committees. We value taste as much as speed - you care what it looks like when it lands, not just that it shipped. Your code runs in real restaurants.
What you'll work on
You'll own the frontend surface end-to-end: scheduling calendars, dashboards, drag-and-drop workflows, onboarding wizards, role-based views. You'll ship across Next.js (web) and React Native (mobile) in a multi-tenant codebase, and have real input on the component library as we scale. First dedicated frontend hire.
What we need from you
- Production React/TypeScript: You've shipped real products with real users, not tutorials.
- Detail orientation: Loading states, empty states, the animation that feels right. These things bother you.
- Figma fluency: You can push back on a mock, sketch variants, and move without waiting for a designer.
- AI tooling maturity: You use Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate, not to outsource understanding. You read the output and own it.
- Independently capable: You navigate an unfamiliar codebase without a guided tour. You find the pattern, follow it, and move.
Nice to have
- React Native experience - you'll be on the mobile app too.
- A feel for motion: Framer Motion, Reanimated, or similar.
- GitHub, deployed side projects, anything we can open in a browser.
- Experience building component libraries other engineers actually used.
