About the role

We're looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to help modernize a mission-critical partnership accounting platform used to manage complex financial operations. In this role, you'll develop backend services and frontend applications while working with modern technologies including Python, Microsoft SQL Server, Angular, Docker, and Kubernetes. You'll collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to build scalable, high-quality software in an Agile environment. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving data-intensive problems and contributing across the full technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance features across the platform, contributing to both backend services and frontend components.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Implement scalable and maintainable business logic in Python using object-oriented programming principles.
• Contribute to Angular frontend development as part of sprint deliverables.
• Work within Docker and Kubernetes environments for application development, testing, and deployment.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of daily software development workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate closely with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and contribute to continuous improvements in application performance and reliability.

Must have skills

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex queries, joins, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Professional experience with Python and Angular (in production).
• Solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience working across backend and frontend technologies in a full-stack development environment.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, and collaborative development.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
• Willingness to provide overlap with US-based teams when required.
• Ability to work across multiple areas of the technology stack rather than specializing exclusively in frontend or backend development.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve engineering practices.
• Candidates with strong C#/.NET OOP experience and a genuine willingness to learn Python are encouraged to apply.

Nice to have skills

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized application development.
• Experience with financial systems, accounting platforms, investment management, or enterprise business applications.

• Contractor role – 12-month contract, renewable.
