Role Description

As a Full Stack Engineer (Python + Next.js) at Artus, you will design, develop, and maintain web applications that power our AI-native product decision platform. In this full-time remote role, you will implement robust back-end services in Python, build responsive front-end interfaces with Next.js and modern CSS, and integrate APIs, AI models, and data pipelines.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and AI engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions, develop prompt-driven workflows, and optimize LLM interactions for reliability and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and testable code, troubleshooting issues, improving application performance, maintaining documentation, participating in code reviews, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices and AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong Full-Stack Development skills, with 1–3 years of experience integrating Python back-end services and Next.js front-end applications.
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks in Python.
• Experience in Front-End Development using Next.js, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
• Experience with Prompt Engineering, including designing, testing, and optimizing prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar models.
• Familiarity with LLM application development, including prompt chaining, structured outputs, function/tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic workflows is highly desirable.
• Solid Software Development fundamentals, including version control (Git), testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Relevant experience building production-grade web applications, ideally in SaaS or AI product environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
