JOB SUMMARY


We are looking for a proactive, hands-on, and technically skilled Full Stack Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain web, backend, and mobile applications. The role requires strong practical experience in Angular for frontend development, Java Spring Boot for backend services, and React Native for mobile application development.


This role requires the ability to deliver scalable, secure, maintainable, and user-centric digital solutions across frontend, backend, and mobile channels. The candidate will work closely with product owners, designers, QA teams, DevOps teams, support teams and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle, using tools and platforms.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Frontend Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and related frontend technologies.
  • Build reusable components, modules, and frontend templates to improve consistency, maintainability and development efficiency.
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and ensure smooth data flow, proper validation, error handling and user experience across different browsers and devices.


Backend Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs and business logic using Java Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate and microservices practices.
  • Build secure, scalable, and maintainable RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Implement backend integration with MSSQL, Oracle databases, internal systems, third-party services and enterprise platforms.
  • Apply good engineering practices including exception handling, logging, validation, configuration management, performance optimisation and secure coding.


Mobile Development

  • Develop and maintain mobile application features using React Native for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs, authentication services and device capabilities where required.
  • Support debugging, testing, performance tuning, mobile build activities and release preparation for mobile applications.


API Integration & System Design

  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions across frontend, backend and mobile channels.
  • Design and implement integration between applications, databases, internal systems, cloud platforms and external services.
  • Ensure API contracts, request and response structures, error handling, data validation and security controls are properly implemented.


Agile Collaboration & JIRA Tracking

  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, designers, QA teams, DevOps teams, support teams and other developers in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Use JIRA to manage user stories, technical tasks, defects, blockers, sprint progress and delivery tracking.


Testing & Debugging

  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and profiling to ensure application stability and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance application performance.


CI/CD, DevOps & Deployment Support

  • Support CI/CD pipeline activities using Jenkins, including code build, automated testing, deployment preparation and release support.
  • Work with DevOps teams to troubleshoot build, deployment, environment, and configuration issues across development, testing, staging and production environments.
  • Support application deployment, cloud integration or environment activities involving Oracle Cloud Platform where applicable.


Optimization & Maintenance

  • Optimize components for maximum performance across diverse devices.
  • Ensure the scalability and maintainability of the application by following domain-driven design principles.


Documentation

  • Produce and maintain detailed technical and user documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for developers, stakeholders and support teams.
  • Document architecture, APIs, design patterns, and workflows to facilitate easier knowledge transfer and onboarding for new team members and support staff.
  • Maintain an up-to-date repository of configuration details, operational procedures and troubleshooting guides inclusive service access management (SAM).


Knowledge Transfer to L2/L3 Support Teams

  • Facilitate seamless knowledge transfer (ToK) to Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) support teams during service onboarding.
  • Create comprehensive handover documentation covering application architecture, known issues, troubleshooting steps and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, or walkthroughs to equip support teams with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle operational tasks and issues effectively.
  • Ensure L2/L3 teams are prepared to manage incidents, resolve application issues and escalate critical problems appropriately.


Best Practices

  • Advocate for clean coding standards, modular design and reusable components.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in web development, CI/CD and Agile practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in the development of lifecycles.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in React Native, Angular, Java Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate and Microservices.
  • Proficiency in multi-threading, cache management, REST APIs, API security, authentication, authorization and security tokens.
  • Experience with database technologies, including MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB, with the ability to design queries, troubleshoot data issues and support database integration.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, OpenShift, WebSphere or equivalent platforms to support build automation, deployment and release activities.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Platform for application hosting, deployment support, cloud integration, environment configuration or operational troubleshooting.
  • Expertise with native build tools like Xcode and Android Studio.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and practical experience using JIRA to manage user stories, tasks, defects, sprint progress, blockers and delivery tracking.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, offline storage, threading and caching mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies for performance tuning and memory management.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and conducting code reviews.
  • Knowledge of mobile app release processes for the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
  • Experience in writing clear, structured technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Passed the Malay Language (including oral test) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent which is recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution in related field of study or qualification in related field of study which is recognized by the Government. Minimum CGPA 3.0.
  • Minimum 4 - 7 years of hands-on software development experience, with strong practical experience in web development using Angular, backend development using Java Spring Boot, and mobile development using React Native. Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Oracle Cloud Platform, MSSQL, JIRA, API integration, code review, Agile delivery, and production support will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of key design principles.
