Role Description The Graphic Designer role at Gayatri Books is a full-time, on-site position based in Meerut. The Graphic Designer will create layout designs for children’s educational books, including covers, internal pages, illustrations placement, and typography that align with the company’s visual standards. Daily tasks include collaborating with editors, writers, and the production team to translate educational concepts into engaging visual content, preparing print-ready files, and ensuring consistency across series and titles. The role also involves developing and refining visual identities for book series, coordinating with printing units to resolve design and pre-press issues, and iterating designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with a focus on print and book layout.
  • Ability to create and refine Logo Design and Branding elements for series and titles.
  • Proficiency in Typography, including font selection, hierarchy, and readability for children’s content.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or equivalent).
  • Prior experience in publishing, education, or print media design is highly beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented approach, ability to manage multiple design projects, and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with writers, editors, and production teams on-site.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred.
