Role Description The Applied Learning Coordinator will design, implement, and monitor learning programs that support Sevalaya’s educational and community initiatives. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves coordinating training sessions for staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries, managing learning resources, and ensuring effective use of learning management systems. The coordinator will work closely with program teams to identify learning needs, adapt content to different audiences, and track outcomes for continuous improvement. Daily responsibilities include scheduling and facilitating training, collecting feedback, maintaining learning documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to align learning activities with Sevalaya’s mission and project goals.
Qualifications
  • Strong Training & Development skills to design and deliver structured learning programs.
  • Experience in Learning Management and Learning Management Systems to administer, track, and improve training activities.
  • Excellent Communication abilities to engage diverse learner groups and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Background in Education or related fields, with an understanding of applied and community-based learning methodologies.
  • Ability to work on-site in Chennai and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary NGO environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in NGOs or social sector projects, especially in education or community development, is highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, proficiency with basic office and collaboration tools, and a commitment to inclusive and ethical practices.
