Working on foundational AI is one of the rarest seats in tech. VoiceArena is where the voice AI field comes to settle what “good” means and we’re hiring the person who will own how that story reaches the world.

About VoiceArena

VoiceArena is the evaluation and benchmarking platform for voice AI. We run leaderboards with pairwise human-rater feedback across speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and full-duplex models, across 15+ global languages. Our work is used by researchers and product teams at frontier AI labs.

About the role

We’re hiring our first Head of Growth. You’ll own how the voice AI field discovers VoiceArena, engages with our benchmarks, and ends up trusting us as the default place to compare models.

• This is not a traditional PLG or paid-marketing role. Growth at VoiceArena is a mix of researcher community, benchmark launches, technical content, conference presence, and the inbound pipeline that follows. You will define the playbook.
• You’ll work directly with the CEO and have full ownership of the function. Over the next 12–18 months, you’ll build a small team under you.

What you’ll own

•⁠ ⁠Growth strategy : Define what growth means for a benchmark platform serving a technical audience. Set the metrics that matter, the experiments that are worth running, and the channels worth investing in.

•⁠ ⁠Leaderboard launches : Own the growth motion behind every new benchmark and leaderboard release positioning, narrative, launch partners, distribution, post-launch momentum.

•⁠ ⁠Researcher and developer community : Build relationships with the researchers, PMs, and engineers at frontier speech and multimodal labs who decide which benchmarks matter. Get them submitting models, citing our work, and talking about us.

•⁠ ⁠Content and narrative : Build the content engine benchmark explainers, technical posts, podcast appearances, X/LinkedIn presence that makes VoiceArena unavoidable in voice AI conversations.

•⁠ ⁠Conferences and field presence : Own our presence at NeurIPS, ICML, Interspeech, ACL, and adjacent venues talks, sponsorships, dinners, demos.

•⁠ ⁠Inbound pipeline : Turn community and content into a steady flow of model submissions, partnership conversations, and commercial inbound.

•⁠ ⁠Team : Hire and lead the growth team as the function scales.

Who you are

•⁠ ⁠6–12 years of growth experience, with meaningful time at an early-stage startup that you helped grow from small to known.

•⁠ ⁠You’ve owned a growth function end-to-end, not just a channel. You can talk credibly about strategy, experimentation, content, community, and pipeline.

•⁠ ⁠You can hold a real conversation with an ML researcher. You don’t need a PhD, but you should be comfortable reading papers and talking about model architectures, evaluation methods, and benchmark design.

•⁠ ⁠You write well. Clear, specific, no buzzwords.

•⁠ ⁠You move fast across surfaces a leaderboard launch this week, a conference plan next week, a researcher dinner the week after.

•⁠ ⁠You’ve hired and managed at least a small team before, or you’re ready to.

Bonus

•⁠ ⁠Background in AI / ML / dev tools / developer-facing products.

•⁠ ⁠Existing network in the speech, NLP, or multimodal AI research community.

•⁠ ⁠You’ve personally shipped a developer-facing product, benchmark, or open-source project.

•⁠ ⁠You’ve grown a technical product from early traction to category default.
