About Buyofuel
Buyofuel is India’s first pan-India B2B marketplace for biofuels and biomass. We connect fuel producers, aggregators, and industrial consumers on a single technology platform, making the trade of solid fuels (biomass briquettes, pellets, agri-waste and other industrial fuels) and liquid fuels (biodiesel, used cooking oil and allied products) transparent, reliable, and scalable. Founded in 2020, we are building the supply chain backbone for India’s transition to cleaner energy.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, result-driven Head of Sales to lead our national sales function across both Solid Fuel and Liquid Fuel verticals. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, this role owns revenue growth, large corporate account relationships, and market expansion for Buyofuel across India. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in fuel or energy sales (biofuels, coal, or other industrial fuels), strong relationships with large corporate buyers, and a proven track record of independently managing sizeable order books.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and drive the overall sales strategy for both Solid Fuels and Liquid Fuels businesses across India, with Mumbai as the base location.
• Manage, nurture, and expand relationships with large corporate clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business.
• Own and grow the order book, with demonstrated ability to handle order books of ₹100+ crores.
• Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and untapped markets pan-India to accelerate growth.
• Develop and execute annual sales plans, budgets, and forecasts in line with company targets.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing regional sales team; set targets and monitor performance.
• Negotiate high-value contracts and pricing terms with corporate clients.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics across the fuel and energy industry to inform strategy.
• Coordinate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and collections.
• Represent Buyofuel at industry forums, client meetings, and negotiations across the country.
Candidate Requirements
• Experience: 5–15 years in fuel or energy sales (biofuels, coal, or other industrial fuels), with a strong background in dealing with large corporate clients.
• Track Record: Demonstrated experience independently handling an order book of ₹100 crores or more.
• Mobility: Based in Mumbai (or willing to relocate), with flexibility to travel extensively across India.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the fuel/energy sector, including pricing mechanisms, logistics, and client servicing.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and leadership skills; strong business acumen and target orientation.
• Education: Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Availability: Immediate joiners preferred.
