Head of Sports

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall sports strategy aligning with the company’s vision and growth objectives.
• Lead the planning, organization, and delivery of all sports‑related programs, events, and initiatives.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team of coaches, trainers, event coordinators, and support staff.
• Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention for athletes and staff.
• Collaborate with marketing, sponsorship, and partnership teams to secure funding and promotional opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with sports federations, governing bodies, and key industry stakeholders.
• Monitor performance metrics, budget adherence, and ROI for all sports projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
• Represent New Era Global at industry conferences, seminars, and media engagements.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong leadership and team‑building skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and public‑speaking abilities.
• Proficient in strategic planning, budgeting, and project management.
• Deep understanding of the Indian sports ecosystem and emerging market trends.
• Fluency in English and Hindi; additional languages are a plus.

Desired Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in sports administration, event management, or related fields.
• At least 4 years in a senior leadership or head‑of‑department role.
• Demonstrated success in launching high‑profile sports events or programs.
• Experience in securing sponsorships and managing commercial partnerships.
• Track record of budget responsibility for multi‑crore projects.
• Familiarity with digital sports platforms and analytics tools is advantageous.
