Job Description

Business Strategy & Planning

  • Define, structure and monitor key workstreams required to deliver Sales goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Build business cases, performance narratives and recommendation notes for leadership decision-making.
  • Translate annual targets into action plans with clear ownership, milestones and review cadence.
  • Support C-level reviews, Board PPT presentations by leading preparation of business overview and summary of strategy development and progress

Sales Productivity & Performance

  • Monitor Sales Manager and Sales Executive productivity through recurring KPI reviews, dashboards and exception analysis.
  • Identify performance gaps across region, location, channel or process, and recommend interventions to improve output and conversion.
  • Establish metrics and operating processes for timely identification and closure of business performance gaps.

Insights, Analytics & MIS

  • Lead analytical approaches for complex, time-sensitive business questions and ensure reliable data gathering, validation and synthesis.
  • Develop regular management insights covering disbursement, productivity, funnel performance, process bottlenecks and business risks.
  • Prepare leadership-ready MIS, business summaries, Board presentation inputs and strategy progress updates.

Product, Initiatives & Transformation

  • Lead /coordinate new product and sales initiative rollouts in partnership with Product, Technology, Operations, Marketing and Risk.
  • Drive automation and process simplification initiatives that improve market responsiveness, sales efficiency and governance.
  • Track implementation effectiveness and ensure initiatives translate into measurable business outcomes.

Risk, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Embed first-time-right discipline and adherence to risk and compliance processes within sales execution.
  • Identify risks and potential threats across locations or business processes, and recommend mitigants through policy, workflow or training interventions.
  • Build accountability for documentation quality, deviation control and process adherence at login and disbursement stages

Market Intelligence & Stakeholder Management

  • Synthesize external market trends, competitor movements and sector insights to support sales strategy decisions.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders through clear communication, structured problem solving and outcome-focused governance.
  • Work with senior stakeholders on ad hoc strategic priorities while maintaining business-as-usual monitoring discipline.


The Head - Sales Strategy will work in close collaboration with the leadership team, broader Sales Strategy team, and other key functions (Technology, Marketing, Operations, etc.) in driving sales goals for the organization.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Work with leadership and cross-functional team to define Credila strategy to achieve long term and short-term business goals
  • Partner with regional Business Unit/ Functional leaders to drive key growth initiatives to help achieve the end objective
  • Ensure sales workforce planning to ensure market coverage maximization while driving productivity improvement
  • Provide a perspective of external market trends by liaising with market research providers, external consultants

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem solving and business judgment.
  • Ability to convert ambiguous business issues into structured workstreams, measurable actions and leadership-ready recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, business modelling, dashboarding and data interpretation capability.
  • Strong understanding of sales productivity, distribution planning, business performance management and process governance.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without losing execution discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation, negotiation, synthesis and executive storytelling.
  • High ownership orientation with ability to manage multiple complex, time-sensitive initiatives.


Skills

  • Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to summarize abstract ideas clearly and independently manage project objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and a high degree of comfort with analysis and modeling.
  • Developed business acumen and technical knowledge
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.

Qualification & Experience

  • 7-10 years of work experience preferably in corporate strategy, regional/ global sales strategy, planning & transformation in a BFSI/Fintech.
  • Experience of Fintech and digital transformation trends will be a plus
  • B.E./ B.Tech. and MBA/ Advanced university degree from Tier 1 institutes
