Health Safety Environment Officer

Job Purpose: To ensure that all construction activities at the project site comply with safety regulations, company HSE policies, and Malaysian workplace safety requirements in order to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor and enforce site safety rules and regulations in accordance with company policies and local Malaysian safety standards.

* Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

* Ensure all workers follow safe work practices and use Personal Protective

Equipment (PPE) properly.

* Conduct safety induction training for new employees and workers entering the site.

* Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and incident records.

* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and recommend corrective actions.

* Conduct regular toolbox meetings and safety briefings with site workers.

* Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.

* Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and workers regarding safety issues.

* Ensure proper emergency preparedness, including fire safety and evacuation procedures.

• * Monitor scaffolding, lifting operations, electrical safety, and work-at-height activities.

Qualifications:

* Diploma / Degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.

* Certification in Safety & Health recognized by Malaysian authorities such as

DOSH: Yellow Book preferred.

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction or industrial project safety.

* Good knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and safety procedures.

* Ability to conduct safety training and communicate effectively with workers.

Other Requirements

* Ability to work at project sites and handle field safety issues.
