General Description Of Role

The Test Analyst supports on-going client service delivery in the project area (i.e., annual enrolments, client release cycles and new benefits implementation) and plays a key role in ensuring the service provided is production ready before the client testing phase begins. The Test Analyst also grows and shares feedback to the system delivery team to ensure continuous improvement occurs on best practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Using existing tools and process to preform Internal Acceptance Testing (IAT) for changes to systems/functions/process
  • Establish and manage data sets as required to satisfy test conditions and scripts
  • Establish test plan by identifying breakpoints for positive and negative testing
  • Collects test evidence and documents expected verse actual outcomes
  • Gathering estimates and providing input to project stakeholders on project timelines
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as directed by test coordinator to certify application stability during this period
  • Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using testing software
  • Support product release deployment by providing regression and smoke testing as required
  • Monitor and review test automation output to support product deployment in lower environments
  • Conducting lessons learned exercises and sharing findings with Project Stakeholders and work with the team to implement process improvements based on the successes/setbacks of the project
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project timelines in a global working environment

Skills/Competencies Required

  • Detailed understanding of System Delivery Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
  • 1-2 years previous experience providing test support of IT systems preferred
  • 1 – 2 years Flexible benefits experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to analyze processes and data to identify and implement improvements
