Job Purpose

Lead India Advanced Purchasing and represent the global Supply Chain / Purchasing organization for the Global Small and Compact Platform. The role owns early supplier engagement, new component development, sourcing readiness, cost optimisation, tooling and CAPEX planning, supplier quality alignment, and launch preparedness support across new products, product upgrades, localization and platform programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead India Advanced Purchasing strategy and execution for new product development, product upgrades, localization, technical modifications, cost reduction and current product improvement programs.
  • Act as a Platform Core Team member for the Global Small and Compact Platform, translating platform priorities into supply chain strategy and end-to-end execution across the product lifecycle.
  • Own sourcing readiness, supplier nomination inputs, tooling plans, prototype ordering and launch execution to achieve platform targets for quality, timing, purchased component cost and supplier CAPEX.
  • Engage suppliers early in the product development cycle to leverage supplier know-how on design feasibility, manufacturability, technology inputs, capacity planning, tooling readiness, quality planning and cost competitiveness.
  • Partner with Purchasing and SQE to drive supplier selection, development, APQP / PPAP readiness, quality risk mitigation and supplier launch preparedness for new components. Work closely with Product Development and Program Management to align sourcing milestones, component development timelines, validation requirements and program deliverables

Experience Required

25+ years of experience in automotive, off-highway, industrial or manufacturing sectors, with strong exposure to purchasing, project

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering(Regular) /BE/B.Tech(Regular) Mechanical Engineering background is preferred for stronger components and manufacturing-process understanding.
