Role Description The Indirect Tax Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing all indirect tax matters for the organization. This role involves managing GST compliance, returns, reconciliations, and audits, while ensuring adherence to current indirect tax laws and regulatory requirements. The Indirect Tax Manager will review transactions for tax implications, provide guidance to business and finance teams, and liaise with external consultants and authorities as needed. Day-to-day activities include monitoring changes in indirect tax regulations, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting assessments and litigation, and driving process improvements in tax reporting. The role also includes partnering with internal stakeholders to optimize tax positions, mitigate risks, and support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong indirect tax knowledge, with hands-on experience in GST, service tax, VAT, and other applicable indirect taxes.
  • Candidates should possess skills in tax compliance, including return filing, reconciliations, audit support, and documentation management.
  • Candidates should possess abilities in tax planning and advisory, including impact assessment of business transactions, risk mitigation, and process improvement.
  • Candidates should possess analytical and research skills, including the ability to interpret tax laws, monitor regulatory changes, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with finance, operations, external consultants, and tax authorities.
  • Relevant professional qualification such as CA, CMA, or a postgraduate degree in finance, taxation, or commerce is preferred.
  • Experience as an Indirect Tax Manager or in a similar tax-focused role in corporate or consulting environments is highly beneficial.
