Design by Disha Subramanium

Delhi Full-Time 1–2 yrs exp Posted 1 day ago  · Apply by Sep 14, 2026

Company Description Design by Disha Subramanium is a New Delhi–based interior design practice specializing in ultra-luxury residential interiors that blend aesthetics with architecture and beauty with function. The studio focuses on creating emotionally resonant spaces with a strong sense of presence, using contrast, light, and meticulous detailing to shape distinctive interiors. Every project emphasizes precision, from millimeter-perfect margins and cornice shadows to material selection and how natural light interacts with surfaces. The approach prioritizes purposeful design over decor, centering each client’s identity rather than trends, and ensuring that ideas are translated into clear drawings and well-managed execution on site. Luxury is defined as restraint, storytelling, and layered experiences that feel effortless yet reveal depth over time.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Interior Designer role located in Central Delhi. The Junior Interior Designer will support the lead designer in developing concepts for ultra-luxury residences, assisting with space planning, mood boards, and material palettes aligned with each client’s identity. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating construction drawings, coordinating FF&E selections, and ensuring design details are accurately documented for execution. The role involves regular site visits to review workmanship, liaise with contractors and vendors, and help resolve design and technical issues in real time. The Junior Interior Designer will also contribute to presentations, maintain project documentation, and uphold the studio’s standards for precision, drama, and build quality.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to translate concepts into spatial experiences.
  • Proficiency in Space Planning, ensuring functional, balanced layouts that reflect the project’s design intent.
  • Ability to produce detailed Construction Drawings and documentation suitable for execution on site.
  • Knowledge of FF&E (fixtures, furniture & equipment), including material, finish, and product selection for luxury residential projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, with an interest in precision, materials, lighting, and high-quality execution.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, contractors, and vendors on site.
  • Prior internship or 1–2 years of experience in residential interior design, preferably in high-end or luxury projects, is an advantage.
