About The Role

We are seeking a passionate Junior Python Developer to join our Engineering team. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for recent graduates and early-career software developers looking to build their careers in Python development, backend engineering, and automation.

As a Junior Python Developer, you will work alongside experienced software engineers to develop, test, and maintain scalable applications, APIs, and automation solutions. You'll gain hands-on experience with modern development practices, cloud technologies, and collaborative software engineering in a supportive remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python applications and backend services.
• Assist in building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams on new features.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile development ceremonies.
• Write unit tests and support software quality initiatives.
• Assist in database development and query optimisation.
• Maintain technical documentation and development records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python programming fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming and data structures.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of Git and version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.

• Familiarity with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Exposure to PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
• Understanding of Linux environments.
