Key Account Manager – Industrial Design

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and design-savvy Key Account Manager who will serve as the primary representative of our Industrial Design Studio at a strategic client location. The role combines project management, client engagement, design operations, and organizational development. The successful candidate will manage ongoing design and development projects while helping establish the client’s new in-house design studio.

Experience: 3–5 Years

Key Objectives

• Manage ongoing industrial design projects.

• Build design capability and processes at the client organization.

• Develop a long-term strategic client relationship.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the client and the design studio.

• Coordinate cross-functional design and product development teams.

• Manage project scope, schedules, risks, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

• Define and implement design processes, templates, governance, and stage-gate reviews.

• Support establishment of the client's in-house design team, including organization structure, hiring support, and workflows.

• Conduct workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and leadership reviews.

• Prepare project dashboards and progress reports.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Industrial Design, Product Development, Design Thinking, Manufacturing Processes, CMF, DFM/DFA, and prototyping.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, Asana, MS Project, or equivalent.

• Ability to work independently in a client-embedded environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design

Experience

3–5 years in an Industrial Design Consultancy, Product Development Consultancy, Product Company, or Engineering Design Consultancy with client-facing responsibilities.
