Lead II - Software Engineering-Java, ATG-Bengaluru/Trivandrum

Role Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background in Oracle ATG Web Commerce, and a solid understanding of Java, microservices, and API testing. The ideal candidate should bring at least 6 years of hands-on ATG experience, and be capable of leading or independently delivering backend solutions in large-scale, customer-facing environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance backend services and components using Oracle ATG Web Commerce. Customize ATG modules including BCC, CSC, personalization, and commerce pipelines. Integrate backend systems with external services through RESTful APIs. Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and front-end developers to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. Conduct unit testing and API validation to ensure system reliability and maintainability. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and process improvements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members if required. Mandatory Skills: 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Oracle ATG Web Commerce – Deep expertise in core modules (Commerce, BCC, CSC, etc.). Proficient in Java – Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and backend development. Strong experience with microservices architecture and REST API integration and experience working on legacy technologies Working knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or RestAssured
