Library and Learning Resource Advisor - Chennai

About The Area

The Academic Support function coordinates and delivers academic support services across UWA India, encompassing academic advising, learning support, academic skills development, education quality and compliance, and the governance and quality assurance environment underpinning academic program delivery. The function works collaboratively with academic departments, the Student Experience directorate, and the Library and Learning function to ensure support is integrated and responsive to the diverse learning needs of UWA India's student community.

About The Opportunity

  • Supports access to library collections, digital resources, and academic information systems, and assists students and academic staff to locate and use library resources relevant to teaching and learning activities.
  • Works with academic staff to ensure required learning materials are available to support teaching delivery.
  • Provides guidance on information literacy, assists students to develop effective use of library resources and academic information systems, and contributes to the ongoing development of library services at UWA India.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Experience supporting library services, information services, or learning resource environments within higher education or a similar setting.
  • Understanding of library systems, digital information resources, and academic information services.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with a strong commitment to delivering a positive student experience
